In 2006 Wilsons' world changed overnight by attaining the debilitating neuro disease, multiple sclerosis. On entering an MRI scanner, he was found to be becoming quadriplegic, due to calcified discs squashing his spinal cord flat. After Neuro Surgery, 'Cervical Spine Myelopathy', wherein the discs are replaced by a Titanium cage, plus a year of learning to walk again, he resumed a life of MS. However, ironically he was happy in the knowledge that MS had saved his life and all his future was a fabulous bonus.
